THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

The Grand Atlas (or Atlas Mountains), an imposing mountain range and Morocco’s west-to-east meteorological divide, has fascinated travellers since the beginning of time. Experience the impressive, unspoilt nature of the Grand Atlas together with us. Fill your lungs with the fresh, sea salt-enriched air, notching up the vertical metres step by step. Enjoy the magnificent views of Morocco’s south, with its many fertile regions and traditional Berber villages. Broaden your horizons – in the most literal sense!

An ideal starting point for your tour is Imlil, a small Berber settlement at an altitude of approximately 1700 to 1800 metres and the perfect base for climbing Toubkal, Morocco’s highest peak at 4167 metres as well as the highest mountain in North Africa. From the top, breathtaking views of the south of the country open up, providing you with an entirely different perspective of the Moroccan landscape.
