Hotel Parador
Wonderfully situated in the blue city of Chefchaouen, the Hotel Parador is the ideal choice for discerning visitors. Right in the centre of the old town, Uta el-Hammam Square invites you to while away the time in its cafés and restaurants. The square is bordered by the Grand Mosque, which dates from the time of Ben Rashid (the city’s founder) and boasts a remarkable octagonal minaret, and by the 15th-century kasbah with its stunning garden. Visitors can walk the walls of the kasbah and enjoy a fabulous view of the city and the surrounding area. You can also explore the remains of the 17th-century sultan’s palace.
Uta el-Hammam Square is connected to Place el Makhzen, where the souks all cluster. Chefchaouen is the epitome of craftsmanship, and is widely known for its leather goods, copperware, ceramics, rugs and carpets, and djellabas. The Hotel Parador is located to the right of Place El Makhzen with a spacious entrance area. The interiors and rooms exude a Mediterranean atmosphere. The décor is minimalist, modern, airy, light and inviting.
Behind the modest facade in shades of blue to protect against the ‘evil eye’, you will find a wonderful panoramic terrace and restaurant where you can watch the hustle and bustle in the medina. Sit by the outdoor pool and cast your gaze across to the impressive peaks of Jebel Kelaa (2050m) and Jebel Meggou (2123m).
