Majorelle Garden: A botanical oasis much loved by Yves Saint Laurent …
Relax in the ‘pearl of the south’
The Majorelle Garden is an exotic botanical paradise, the perfect place to stroll and take pictures. Spanning around 4,000sqm, it features plants from 5 continents – including stunning cacti and bougainvillea – as well as a bamboo forest. The garden provided inspiration for Yves Saint Laurent’s fashion collections. In 1980, he bought the garden, saved it from ruin and held legendary parties here for the international jet set. Following his death in 2008, his ashes were scattered in a private section of the garden.

Founded way back in the 14th century, it mesmerises visitors with its magnificent stucco decorations. The mosque – the spiritual and religious heart of the old town and the largest mosque in the medina – is just next door. Simply breathtaking!
The country’s emblem: Koutoubia Mosque and minaret
