A fine-dining Mecca, the taste of the Atlantic and the quiet indulgence of the stone desert

Six nights. Three worlds. A journey whose rhythm grows calmer with every stage. In Marrakech, centuries-old craftsmanship, contemporary design and a confident new cuisine come together. On the lagoon of Oualidia, salt, wind and tides determine the flavour. And in the Agafay, the landscape opens out, the silence deepens and the essential becomes tangible and tasteable once more.

For those who seek the extraordinary not in abundance, but in the quality of a single moment: in a precisely composed menu, a fresh oyster straight from the water, a horizon without distraction – and in the rare freedom of having to be nowhere else.

Three Worlds of Indulgence

Certified Button
Certified Button

Three places. Three forms of luxury. A journey back to your own time. Marrakech opens the journey with energy: ochre architecture, hidden courtyards, the dense weave of the souks and a cuisine that reinterprets Moroccan flavours. Then the horizon shifts. In Oualidia, luxury tastes of the Atlantic – clear, salty and immediate. The tides set the pace, the lagoon creates space, and indulgence comes straight from the sea. In the Agafay, everything grows quieter. The colours are reduced to stone, earth and sky. Regional produce, herbs, embers and smoke become a cuisine that seems conceived from the landscape itself. The view reaches all the way to the High Atlas, the evening belongs to the fire, and time is no longer measured.

Destinations & Discoveries

Three destinations, five clearly staged travel moments. Each stage transforms the form of indulgence – urban, maritime, earthbound – and deliberately leaves room to grasp a place not merely by seeing it, but with all the senses.

PLM_Tour-016-The-Taste-of-Marocco_Stationen_1

Marrakech does not begin only on the square or in the souk. The first light on the ochre walls, the scent of cedarwood, citrus and spices, and the many-voiced life of the city already sharpen the senses. After your personal welcome, your private transfer takes you to a selected Luxury Hideaway. Behind a discreet door, the energy of the street gives way to the cool of a courtyard, the sound of water and a calm that arrives unexpectedly. The first evening gives you the freedom to find your own pace: over an aperitif on the rooftops, a first dinner in the city or in complete seclusion at the riad. No programme to be completed. Only Marrakech – and the feeling of having arrived.

What You Experience

  • Personal welcome at Marrakech airport and private transfer
  • Arriving at a selected Luxury Hideaway behind the walls of the medina
  • Optional: aperitif on the rooftops & rooftop-terrace dinner

What Fascinates Us Most

How Marrakech sharpens every sense within moments – and can fall utterly silent behind a single door.

PLM_Tour-016-The-Taste-of-Marocco_Stationen_2

The following morning, Marrakech reveals its full breadth. With your Private Guide you discover significant architecture, hidden courtyards and the vibrant weave of the medina. On the Jemaa el-Fna you encounter musicians, traders and storytellers; its tradition of storytelling, music and market culture has been recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2001.

In the souks, Morocco becomes legible through its materials and aromas: leather and brass, wood and textiles, cumin, saffron, preserved lemons and freshly roasted nuts. In between, carefully curated routes lead to concept stores, galleries, design addresses and rooftop terraces that represent the new Marrakech.

In the evening, the city becomes a stage for great cuisine. In a selected restaurant you experience a dinner that engages all the senses: alongside finely composed dishes that take up traditional flavours, refine and reinterpret them, come oriental dance, the hypnotic rhythms of the Gnaoua and live music. The evening becomes a festival of taste, sound and movement – a sensuous finale to the Marrakech day.

What You Experience

  • 2 nights in a selected luxury hotel or signature riad in Marrakech
  • Privately curated city and lifestyle tour with a Private Guide
  • A journey for the senses through the souks and the aromas of Morocco
  • Significant architecture, hidden courtyards and the vibrant weave of the medina
  • Contemporary design, concept stores, galleries and rooftop terraces
  • Fine-dining dinner with oriental dance, Gnaoua & live music
  • Optional: visit to the Jardin Majorelle
  • Optional: visit to the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech
  • Optional: visit to the Ramakech sculpture and art park by the artist Jean-François Fourtou
    in the Palmeraie of Marrakech

What Fascinates Us Most

The effortless contrast between centuries-old craftsmanship, contemporary style and a new Moroccan cuisine with international ambition.

The city recedes, the landscape opens out. After around two and a half hours, the lagoon of Oualidia opens onto the Atlantic. From now on, light, wind and tides shape the day.

La Sultana Oualidia lies nestled between gardens, lagoon and ocean – an intimate retreat that combines privacy with an immediate closeness to nature. In the morning, a fine mist hangs over the water. Fishing boats glide silently to the oyster beds, rare birds cross the lagoon, and with every hour the light changes the colours of the coast. Here, indulgence arises not from staging but from provenance: oysters straight from the lagoon, fresh fish, Atlantic air and a dinner on the beach. Two nights in which the outer pace quietens and your own becomes tangible again.

What You Experience

  • Private transfer from Marrakech to the lagoon of Oualidia, approx. 2.5 hours
  • 2 nights with breakfast at the luxurious 5-star hotel La Sultana Oualidia
  • Boat trip to the oyster beds with a tasting
  • Dinner in a Berber tent on the beach at Oualidia
  • Optional: quad-bike safari or fatbike tour
  • Optional: kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding on the lagoon
  • Optional: cookery or cocktail class at La Sultana Oualidia
  • Optional: golden-hour cruise across the lagoon

What Fascinates Us Most

The moment the morning mist lifts, the lagoon begins to glow and the taste of the Atlantic comes straight from the water.

PLM_Tour-016-The-Taste-of-Marocco_Stationen_4

On the way from the Atlantic coast into the Agafay, your Private Chauffeur makes a stop in Safi if you wish. Without a guide and without a dense programme, there is time for your own view of the coastal town: for ceramics and craftsmanship, a relaxed lunch and those chance discoveries that only arise when you follow no fixed plan.

Afterwards, the landscape changes step by step. The blue of the Atlantic falls away, the earth turns ochre, the vegetation grows sparser – until, before the peaks of the High Atlas, the expanse of the Agafay opens up.

What You Experience

  • Optional leisure stop in Safi
  • Time for ceramics, craftsmanship and lunch at your own pace
  • Onward journey into the stone desert of the Agafay
  • Arrival at an exceptional Desert Hideaway
  • Optional: visit to a ceramics workshop in Safi
  • Optional: arranged lunch at a restaurant overlooking the town

What Fascinates Us Most

How clay and fire become craftsmanship – and how the blue of the coast slowly gives way to the colours of earth and stone on the way into the desert.

PLM_Tour-016-The-Taste-of-Marocco_Stationen_5

In the Agafay, the journey reaches its calmest and, at the same time, most impressive point. Amid the moon-like stone desert lies an exceptional Desert Hideaway that does not try to outdo the landscape but opens itself to it. Generous suite tents with private terraces, an infinity pool that mirrors the desert sky, carefully designed retreats and the open view all the way to the High Atlas create an atmosphere in which time seems to stand still.
When the sun sinks, the stone desert becomes a stage. Fire, deep shadows and a clear starry sky transform the space – and with it, perception.

The culinary highlight is a multi-course panoramic dinner under the open sky. Regional produce, herbs, embers and smoke are staged with precision and surprise. This is not a dinner set beside the landscape, but a taste experience drawn from it: concentrated, earthbound and unforgettable.

What You Experience

  • 2 nights with breakfast in a selected Desert Hideaway in the Agafay
  • Generous suite tents with a private terrace and views across the stone desert to the High Atlas
  • Spectacular multi-course panoramic dinner beneath the starry sky
  • Camp dinner on the second desert evening
  • Unplanned time, deep silence and the vastness of the stone desert
  • Evenings by the fire beneath the clear starry sky of the Agafay
  • Optional: dromedary tour through the lunar landscape of the Agafay
  • Optional: hot-air balloon flight at sunrise over the stone desert

What Fascinates Us Most

When great cuisine, open fire and the deep silence of the stone desert merge into a single, elemental experience.

PLM_Tour-016-The-Taste-of-Marocco_Stationen_6

The defining experience of this journey is not a sight. It lies in the space in between: in a morning that does not begin with an appointment. In a lunch allowed to last longer. In a second glance, a sunset and the leisure simply to be, until the day sinks into night.

Because transfers, stays and special experiences are privately arranged, the journey follows no group schedule but your own rhythm. Marrakech sharpens the senses, Oualidia widens the horizon, the Agafay lets everything come to rest. What remains is the rare feeling that time does not simply pass – but is lived with every moment.

What Fascinates Us Most

How a journey of consciously experienced moments can sharpen perspective and perception.

Your Home for a While

Three places, three distinct worlds of retreat: a historically characterful Luxury Hideaway in Marrakech, La Sultana Oualidia as an exclusive refuge above the lagoon, and an exceptional Desert Hideaway in the silent expanse of the Agafay. Each place has its own architectural and culinary signature. What they share is the combination of privacy, personal service and a keen sense of atmosphere. With every stage, the space opens further – and everyday life recedes into the distance.

Indulgence for All the Senses

Cuisine is the common thread of this journey – and tells a different story at every stop. In Marrakech it is cosmopolitan, precise and surprising. In Oualidia it comes fresh from the Atlantic and tastes of salt, sea and life. In the Agafay it becomes concentrated and elemental: regional produce, herbs, embers and smoke against the backdrop of the stone desert.

From fine dining and oysters straight from the lagoon to a panoramic dinner beneath the starry sky, taste becomes the most intense way of encountering a place.

Pur-Life-Maroc_Destination-Oualidia_Fatbike

Sandy paths, salt marshes and wide views characterise this guided tour through the surroundings of Oualidia. The wide tyres of the fat bikes provide grip on changing terrain, while the route is adapted to fitness levels and conditions.
